Calinisan Resort Hotel Inc.

Recently enjoyed a 3-day, 2-night stay. The location boasts fantastic scenery near Taal Volcano, providing us with an amazing view. While the food was good, there's room for improvement and more variety in options. Both the rooms and the pool were well maintained. However, there's a need for maintenance in the entertainment areas like billiards and table tennis. The staff were polite and approachable. The management was accommodating and excellent. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would certainly consider staying again in the future.

We enjoyed the scenery, but beware of VIDEOKE they have multiple videoke on the resort since this is a resort expect some videoke noise, they have curfew at 10 pm. Luckily they did not reach 10 pm. We stayed during weekdays, the crews are friendly except they forgot to put the towel in our room ( during checkout we were asked if where is the towel they provided, which they did not provide. ) , we tried to call the reception past 8pm but maybe they are not 24 hours open. Meals is good, also the assigned crew in the restaurant is very friendly. Also they did not provide room slippers.

Our first ever “me time”. Calinisan Resort offers a wonderful scenery of Taal Volcano and its lake. If you want to relax, this is one of the best place to go to. Staffs are very kind and accommodating. For us the only downside is the lack of food selecrion. Just don’t expect to much when it come to food. A bit expensive with a “so-so” quality. Overall, the experience war great. We will return but hopefully they’ll improve their dishes.

This review is based on our experience, if you are looking for a place just to have fun so this is for you, but if to relax it is not a place then. Too noisy during day time and night time because of the video karaoke. My daughters and I couldn't sleep because somebody was using the videoke until past 10pm. I tried to call the front desk to complain about it but nobody answered the intercom. So in the end we were so tired the next day because we didn't sleep well, to think my kids were so tired from swimming. I found out that only 1 security guard is left during the entire night all staffs are going home. Room was not that too good, maybe for those who are not usually travelling then it may be fine for them. Their blanket was too thin and rough, the bedsheet also same, in other words it is not comfortable. The room we had doesn't have any seatbowl in the toilet and there was a stinky smell then the flooring of the room was kind of sticky. Internet connection was poor good thing I brought my own prepaid wifi, data connection also has difficulty connection like the area is dead spot for any telecom connection. Pool: not that too clean, though they don't use much chlorine. They allow even cotton clothes to swim. Staffs: Most of them were approachable and always greeting their guests. Food: This resolved my disappointment to our room and the road we took going here, they know how to cook not too delicious but it is like you are eating a comfort food at home. But the kitchen smells like "anghit" inside so we only ate at the cottage outside of the kitchen. View is nice because it is just infront of Taal Volcano and the lake but sad thing my husband saw the drainage of the resort going to the lake and there was a dead rat just in the surrounding ahahaha! And the landscape is beautiful. All in all, we are not going back here. Advice, if you want to experience the place better to avoid taking the short cut from Tagaytay because it is dangerous. Sobrang matarik ung mga daan and konting pagkakamali ng any driver na makasalubong mo mahuhulog ka sa bangin. I was so stressed when my husband chose the short cut.

Pros:Well maintained, clean well ventilated rooms, very nice staffs, budget friendly, beautiful resort. Cons: bad/ NO internet and mobile connection specially in the rooms. Food their selling is not that good. But of course you have the choice to take food with you inside the resort with payment. That time we were there it so much painting happening and we cannot relax on the seats near the green area because of the paint stink. Overall we enjoy our short time there.
